Dear Heather – I’m hoping that you will be interested in my new play, BEING SEEN. The Actress in the play is a role to die for. A real tour-de-force. We received great reviews at FringeNYC last summer. (See below) BEING SEEN is an energetic complexly layered two-hander with a dark underbelly. Broadway actor, William Youmans and Allison Minick were wonderful in NY. Audiences fell in love with Allison. (William is currently in Steve Martin’s new musical at the Cort, BRIGHT STAR.)
BEING SEEN played to sold-out houses in NY and was voted a FringeFAVORITE.
NY Reviews
“Being Seen is a twisted comedy made for the theater person. . .the script Gustin has written is wickedly smart. The dialogue is snappy, the conversations are genius. . . There was never a dull moment and every beat has a purpose. The storytelling is sharp and precise.”
~ Theatre in The Now
“The most nonstop laughs at FringeNYC this year were provided by a show about theatre. . . exhilarating theatre, brilliantly scripted by Richard Gustin. . .simultaneously comedic and thought-provoking. . . Being Seen was the very last show I saw at the festival (the 65th, not counting the productions I left mid-stream…), and I couldn’t have asked for a better way to bid adieu to this year’s FringeNYC. If you’re a producer, fund this wonderfully layered comedy about achieving dreams, which absolutely merits a long commercial life beyond the fest.”

“Being Seen, a funny and witty play. . .Richard Gustin takes us into the audition room for a hilarious look at the artistry of acting, directing and what happens behind the scenes. . . We receive a very lively glimpse into what an actor will do to land the part, to prove themselves, to gain crucial approval from a director. . .truly engaging. . .the performance of both Minick and Youmans is wonderful.”

Dear Richard,
I’m so sorry, but I never received this post from you. I’m seeing it now, 2 years later! Yikes! Wanted to let you know I hope you had incredible luck with your play. I’m currently working on a solo show I wrote that’s going to be in the Edinburgh Fringe Festival this summer. I leave next week! It’scalled Chemo Barbie:My Lady Bits’ Journey Through Breast Cancer. ‘m cancer free and healthy, FYI. It won an Encore Producers Award at the Hollywood Fringe 2017 and I’ve been touring with it ever since.
I’d love to stay in touch and please let me know when you’re in Los Angeles. My sincere apologies for not getting this email till now. Best way to reach me is heatherannkeller@gmail.com. For some reason my website put you as spam and blocked you.
Best,
Heather
